Sashimono è il nome di una tecnica di incastro giapponese del legno. Ho deciso di chiamare la gruccia in questo modo perchè la sua costruzione parte dal principio dell'incastro di vari elementi autobloccati, che danno vita a un prodotto senza l'utilizzo di viti e collanti e che può essere smontato al momento del fine vita. Il prototipo è costituito da due bracci e due spine quadrate, che abbracciano l'uncino la cui filettatatura all'estremità accoglie una sferetta sempre in metallo che completano l'insieme della gruccia.
Sashimono is the name of a Japanese technique for interlocking wood. I decided to use the same name for this hanger because its construction starts from the principle of interlocking various self-locking elements, resulting in a product that doesn’t need screws or adhesives and can be taken apart at the end of its life cycle. The prototype consists of two arms and two squared pins which clasp the hook, while the threaded end screws into a small metal ball to hold it together.
